We can find many books, seminars, techniques, therapies, practitioners and even devices to explore your inner present. The truth is that none of those things will create any change in you unless you commit to experience and practice in your daily life at least one of them.
One of the best technique to start your journey is finding knowledge about meditation and then adding this tool to your daily life. If you are like those people who think that they cannot meditate because their mind is always jumping from one thought to the next one, then you may need extra help to learn, however you must do it more than anyone else. If you are not been able to quite your mind from time to time eventually it takes over your brain and your health, as well. It can result as stress, high blood pressure, heart attack and more. This is one of the mayor reason why meditation is becoming more and more popular in this days.
Meditation is not complicated.
Start your practice slowly. It is better to start 3 minutes daily than 15 minutes two times a week. Here you are creating discipline to your mind. This is why it is important to be consistent.
The best time to meditate is when you won't be disturb however early mornings or before bed are excellent times.
Silence meditation are excellent but they can be hard to do in the beginning. You can start listening guided meditations, singing mantras or even using neuro-technology.
Any posture is okay as long as you do not fall sleep. If you have back problems then you can meditate in a regular chair with support or use a Japanese floor chair, a wall or even resting in the floor with a pillow under your knees.
Do not compare yourself with anyone. Take your time and ensure you are comfortable.
Breathing it is also an important element. We move the universal energy through our body while we are breathing. There are many breathing techniques. You can start by breathing normally however try to adopt a good technique. A simple one to start could be inhale for 3 seconds and exhale for 7 seconds, so you produce a breathing cycle of 6 breath for minute. If this is too much for you then start at any point and then incremental numbers when you are ready however keep consistency and control in your practice.
Meditation is the start to a better you. It is a mind/body discipline highly recommended on this days. Do not forget to do breathing exercise while meditate. If you research more about this subject, you will enhance your experience.
